The Lamborghini’s V12 Vision Gran Turismo Concept looks like a batmobile from the future

Lamborghini has revealed a new concept car that can be best described as otherworldly. Meet the Italian carmaker’s Vision GT concept, simply known as the Lambo V12, which was unveiled at the Gran Turismo Championship World Finals in Monaco. The prototype on display of the single-seater track-car will be available in a drivable form virtually in Gran Turismo Sport for PlayStation 4 from the spring of next year. Similar to most of the previous Vision Gran Turismo concepts introduced by manufacturers like Jaguar, Bugatti, Hyundai, Zagato, the Lambo V12 has a ultra-radical design with dramatic styling elements. Mitja Borkert, director of Lamborghini’s design center, explains: “The Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo was designed to be the best virtual car ever for all the young gamers and fans who love our brand. It is an opportunity for the genius and talent of our designers to fully express themselves and imagine a car that is not only fascinating and incredible to drive, but also reflects the design center’s commitment to developing innovative technologies, especially in the field of light materials and hybridization.”

Despite the fact that the single-seat race car will only be drivable virtually, Lamborghini claims that the angular exterior design was developed with aerodynamics in mind. Underneath the striking bodywork is the same 819-hp hybrid powertrain from the limited production Sián FKP 37 revealed back in September this year. The famed Italian manufacturer says that they calculated the car’s overall dry weight to be 819 kilograms, giving it the highly desirable one-to-one power to weight ratio. Understandably, there are no performance numbers for the concept car yet and we will have to wait till the car debuts on the Gran Turismo Sport to see how this beast of a machine turns out to be in terms of driving dynamics and performance.
