Morris Yachts unveils M46 sailing yacht

If your search for that perfect 46 feet yacht is yet to be fulfilled, then this is one baby you need to keep an eye on. Morris Yachts from Trenton, Maine, has brought out its latest offering in its M-Series sailing vessels. The “classic-modern” yacht in question is the M46 that, as its name suggests, occupies 46 feet, housing two below-deck cabins. Designed by American naval architecture firm Sparkman and Stephens, you’d be instantly transported to the 1920s and ’30s when you set your eyes on this one.

Unlike the other M-Series vessels, the M46 sports an extended waterline, a slender hull, a lower displacement to length, and a more vertical bow, to ensure better sailing performance. Another differentiating factor is a drop-down swim platform at the stern, something you won’t find in a classic sailing yacht this long.

On the inside, you’ll be greeted by the woodwork in “two private cabins with en-suite heads, a spacious main saloon with large social dinette and cross-beam day bed, a full-sized galley, and an integrated wireless home office.” The yacht can sleep six guests with ease. On the technology front, there is push-button sailing and an integrated wireless entertainment system to play music and video either using smartphones and tablets across the vessel’s media systems.
