The Iwana 87m Superyacht celebrates the Year of the Water Dragon

After coming out with an 85m long superyacht British Designer Alex McDiarmid has created another Iwana. This time around, the Superyacht Iwana 87m is 2-meters longer and inspired by the Water Dragon instead. Celebrating the Chinese Year of the Dragon, the yacht’s main structure is shaped like a dragon head, with the decks and communication tower “inspired by the dorsal crests of Dragons and beautiful marine iguanas.” The superstructure features a panoramic roof window running over the yacht and a solar panel system in the ‘Magic Smart Glass’ that lets glass change colors for “privacy, sun/glare protection, and visual entertainment.”

The deck space aft features a hull that can open into “two, fold-down, roll out, and wrap around bathing platforms,” which is a treat for sun-bathing lovers. Head over to the main deck for a social and relaxation zone and a swimming pool aft. A jacuzzi is placed inside the owner’s private dining deck. The upper deck features yet another private retreat for the owner. The yacht can accommodate a party of 16 guests in 8 cabins with a crew of 20.
