According to reports, every year, the demand for super-luxury suites on cruise liners is increasing. Enter Queen Mary 2, with the world’s most luxurious cruise ship cabin. And when we say ‘luxurious’, we mean sweeping marble staircase, private gym, ‘his and hers’ bathrooms, the works.
Making its maiden visit to Sanya, China in time for the Chinese New Year, Cunard Line’s Queen Mary 2 is to sail around 38 ports in 22 countries. And that’s not even the real attraction here. That one comes swathed in marble and spread over two floors.
Five Grand Duplex suites have been allocated the space of up to 2,249sq-ft, each. “These are the most lavish and magnificent suites afloat,” says Cunard spokesperson Angus Struthers, with two marble bathrooms, a sweeping marble staircase, king-sized bedroom, a private gym, concierge service and butler.
And the price for all this? £1,079 ($1,740) a night, which comes to a grand total of £121,899 ($196,225) for a 113-night journey, that’s round the world. Guests also receive exclusive access to the ship’s Queen’s Grill restaurants and port calls include Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the Canary Islands.
