Need help packing? KLM has a Google-powered voice assistant just for you

KLM is safely one of the most modern airlines in the world. It recently launched a smart and interactive voice-driven pack assistant on Google Home that can guide you on how to pack your bags and just what you need to carry for your next trip! Yup, you heard us! Travel planning and the associated packing frenzy just got smoothened out for you!

With the help of its recently launched service bot called BB, who finds her basis in artificial intelligence, KLM’s ultra-modern pack assistant offers personalized advice to travelers depending on their target KLM destination, the duration of their trip and the overall weather conditions. As per Pieter Groeneveld, Senior Vice President Digital Air France-KLM, “BB, short for Blue Bot, is KLM’s service bot that supports passengers with a smart interactive voice-driven packing list. The service starts by asking for KLM on Google Home. It is also available on devices that support Google Assistant. In the near future, customers will also be able to send a reminder list via Google Home to their preferred social media channel, in case they are not able to pack specific items instantly, including possible visas that need to be arranged.”

KLM’s service bot that draws its intelligence from KLM and external technology, is self-learning and is said to carry a personality of its own. First introduced in September 2017, it offered KLM customers an option of booking a ticket via Messenger in a conversational way. BB’s voice-driven pack assistant is the second in the innings with the airline strategizing many more services for its travelers in the near future.
