Until a couple of years ago, watches were only competing with watches, now they are competing with cars, holidays, furniture, and art. Vacheron Constantin is one of the big names today who owe their prominence to the men of vision. Today’s customers, while spending more, also demand more in terms of both design and technical innovation. High-end watch houses need to listen to their customers as well as remaining true to their heritage and who has understood it better than Vacheron Constantin. Vacheron’s Atelier Cabinotiers Special Order is based on four overall criteria: choice of a watch case; choice of movements and complications – and display; choice of a dial (enameled, guilloché, tone and/or finish, with choice of indexes and hour markers, and hands), and choice of the wrist strap. All you have to do is choose your favorite elements, metals, colors, finishes, and functions – and Vacheron Constantin master watchmakers will do the rest, creating and hand finishing your own personalized watch.
This service is offered exclusively at Maison Vacheron Constantin, 7 Quai de l’Ile, in Geneva. The famous New York banker and watch aficionado Henry Graves was an avid lover of bespoke Vacheron Constantin pieces, as was King Farouk of Egypt and his father, King Fouad.
