Bvlgari collaborates with Maserati for two special edition Octo watches

Bulgari and Maserati collaborated over their Octo watch for the first time five years ago in 2012 and the brands have revisited the concept yet again through their Bulgari Octo Maserati Mono-Retro watches. Two watches have been created, the GranSport in black DLC coated steel, and the GranLusso is 18k pink gold. Both feature dials inspired by the rev counter seen in Maserati cars.

Unlike previous Octo models these have a relatively unclutter display with only retrograde minutes to the left of the dial and a digital jumping hour display on the right above the Maserati trident logo.

The watch cases are 41mm and resistant to 100m. Inside them is Bulgari’s BVL 262 automatic movement which operates at 4Hz with 42 hours of power reserve. The movement has probably been modified to suit the uncommon time display of the Octo watches. Both watches feature topstiched perforated leather straps, probably a nod to Maserati’s luxe car interiors.

The Bulgari Octo Maserati Mono-Retro watches will be available exclusively at Bulgari stores. The black GranSport is priced at $12,800 while the rose gold GranLusso is priced at $30,700. Supposedly only Maserati car customers are eligible to buy these watches.
