Swiss watchmaker Baume & Mercier has collaborated with Shelby brand to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the FIA World Championship won by the iconic Shelby Cobra 427 with a collection of special edition Capeland Shelby Cobra watches. In 1965, Shelby unveiled its powerful big block 427 Shelby Cobra 427 model, a two-seater roadster that went on to capture 65’s FIA Sports Car World Championship at Rheims, France, a first for an American manufacturer. Limited edition Capeland Shelby Cobra watches, designed by Baume & Mercier is a tribute to that historical milestone.
“The elegance of lines, attention to high-quality and legacy of expertise are some of the common characteristics between our creations, our philosophy and values,” said Alain Zimmermann CEO of Baume & Mercier. The watchmaker is yet to give out the details on the watches’ specification, design, price, and availability. The watch will debut in June.
