Van Cleef & Arpels dishes out the inimitable Lady Féerie watch with tons of mystique added to the fuchsia feast

Since the 1940s, Van Cleef & Arpels has made time stand still, dishing out one timeless creation after another. The Maison has single-handedly made time seem enchanting, romantic, and an amalgamation of the two with a new take on its Lady Féerie watch. This piece of paradise is bedecked entirely in shades of pink, enriching the Féerie collection. The 33mm case turns home to a chimerical setting featuring a dainty fairy looking captivating. Her charm also serves the purpose of telling time as the magic wand marks the passing hours.

The fairy is perched on a bed of mother-of-pearl clouds, poised to perfection in a dress of diamonds and pink sapphires. A hint of gold is used to outline the pixie’s svelte limbs. The real treat here is the theatrical wings coated with a combination of pink plaque-à-jour and opaque pink enamel, bordered with diamonds. While Van Cleef & Arpels is faultless in design and technique, by their admission, more than ten attempts were required for Maison’s artisans to achieve this soft gradient. Indeed, the most entrancing element of the entire timepiece.

Lady Féerie watch is created for the 2023 Watches and Wonders salon as a glistening example of the expertise and vision of timekeeping that is classic Van Cleef & Arpels. The Lady Féerie or Rose watch boasts a self-winding mechanism, jumping hours, and retrograde minutes in the 33mm Lady case. A deep plum-hued strap compliments the fine fuchsia dial and the star of this timepiece- the beautiful three-dimensional fairy.
