An iPhone cover that costs more than your iPhone

Gray International, a Singapore-headquartered design company, has just launched the luxurious Advent Collection, which is a range of metallic iPhone cases made in gold and titanium. This limited 100-piece (worldwide) collection is designed only for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and each individual Gold Titanium Nitride coated piece is engraved with a serial number.

The Advent Collection phone covers are made using sturdy alloys. Two brackets, one crafted in Aerospace Grade 5 titanium and the other in elegant gold have been provided. These beautiful robust metallic brackets elevate the phone when it is kept on a flat surface, as a result of which the phone screen remains scratch-free. However, these brackets can be attached on the sides of the iPhones, and the back does not get covered. Nevertheless, the case well protects phones from getting bent and damaged.

The company has carried forward the design genius to the packaging too. It showcases aerospace-grade aluminum, making the anodized, precision-machined box look discreet and luxurious at the same time.

The covers carry a price tag of $1,000, and at the moment, Gray International is only making them available via pre-orders placed on their official website. Each purchase will come with six different Thermoplastic Elastomer colors – Black, red, blue, yellow, orange, and green. Shipping is going to be free in different places globally by November 2016 end. Also, a lucky draw will be the deciding factor that the lucky owners of these smartphone cases will be.
