Sip Jimmy Choo cocktails at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, world’s highest hotel

Love your Choos enough to sip them in your cocktail? Then this one’s for those such as your shoe-fiend selves. The Lounge & Bar at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong has unveiled exclusive “His & Her” cocktails inspired by Jimmy Choo’s Autumn/Winter 2014 (AW14) Women’s and Men’s Collections. But before you get up and head over, let’s hear more about the lavish drinks and their maker.

We don’t know if it’s the fact that the iconic shoe label left an impressive mark with the Jimmy Choo inspired Afternoon Tea at the glamorous city’s Mandarin Oriental. But this year, The Ritz Carlton seems set to take the well-heeled lead with its collection of innovative fashion cocktails at the Oriental crystal chandeliers accented The Lounge & Bar.

leather-revolutionCreated by the world-class mixologist of The Lounge & Bar, Lewis Tsang the drink for ‘him’, Leather Revolution is a masculine concoction of French herbal liqueur and 18 years Islay smoky single malt. A beautiful blending of leather and cigar taste, when shaken with a dash of Italian vermouth it also boasts tinges of both bitterness and sweetness.

And while its colors reflect the color palette presented in the AW14 Men’s Collection, the other, inspired by the sensual dark orchid found in the AW14 Women’s collection is a vodka-based, frozen raspberry smoothie with a hint of fresh lime juice and elderflower liqueur, and no added sugar. The drink comes topped with a cotton-candy cloud, which gives it the name Cotton Berry Cloud

But finding its proud place on the cloud is a golden high heel. Tempted much? But prefer teetotalling? A non-alcoholic version, Virgintini Berry Cloud is also available. Located on Level 102 of the highest hotel in the world, the venue will serve the drinks at HKD185 ($24) and HKD 130 ($17) for Virgintini Berry Cloud between 3pm and 12midnight from Monday to Sunday throughout September.
