This Chicago restaurant is shaking things up with a $13,000 martini, crowned as the most expensive in the U.S. This luxe cocktail isn’t just served; it sparkles, thanks to a stunning diamond tennis necklace adorned with 150 diamonds.

To enjoy the ‘most expensive martini in the US’ at Adalina, an Italian restaurant in Chicago, one must be Bond-villain rich. The “Marrow Martini” takes the classic shaken-or-stirred debate out of the equation and replaces it with something sparkling. The drink is served with a dazzling diamond tennis necklace, making this martini cost a staggering $13,000. The release claimed it’s the most expensive martini in the U.S., which is believable; after all, this drink comes with a piece of jewelry instead of an olive or lemon garnish! Elevating the spirits isn’t just the smoked heirloom tomato mezcal martini but a stunning 9.00 ct diamond tennis necklace of 14k gold featuring 150 diamonds. Ingenious, right?

This luxurious concoction was created by Adalina’s very own Colin Hofer, named “Sommelier of the Year” by the Michelin Guide in 2022, according to NBCChicago. The sparkling surprise is part of a collaboration between the restaurant and Marrow Fine, the jewelry shop located just below.

We couldn’t agree more with Marrow Fine’s founder, Jillian Sassone, who said the pairing will “make for a few very memorable evenings.” The ring-in-the-drink trend enjoyed by some has found a dazzling replacement that can be appreciated by all, if they’re willing to part with $13,000 for the country’s most expensive cocktail and leave with more than just a hangover!

Adalina Chicago also caters to gastronomes with its famous shellfish tower, steaks, and melt-in-your-mouth plates of pasta. Adalina’s speakeasy, the Rose Lounge, is the perfect spot for an intimate drinking experience, featuring a curated cocktail list that, of course, includes the Marrow Martini for those who can afford it.
