Well-heeled buyers and ardent collectors are always willing to drop exorbitant amount for exclusive diamond jewelry. The latest testament took place at the Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite auction at Hong Kong. The highlight of the season was the Diamond Necklace by Nirav Modi that sold for $5.1 million. Made of thirty-six graduated brilliant-cut diamonds, the 430mm necklace boasts of 88.88 carats of diamonds set in platinum.
