0 to 60mph in 1.5 seconds – Is this the world’s fastest and most expensive Go-Kart?

Meet the C5 Blast, the fastest go-kart on this planet that can put the world’s fastest accelerating supercars and hypercars to shame. Built by Canadian manufacturer and developer of light electric vehicles (LEV), Daymak, the C5 Blast accelerates from 0 to 60mph in an astonishing 1.5 seconds. Just to put that into context, the brand new Bugatti Chiron does the same sprint in 2.5 seconds while the incredible Tesla Model S P100D takes 2.28 seconds to hit the same mark. The secret behind the insane acceleration of the C5 Blast is the combination of a 48v/10KW brushless DC motor and a whopping twelve individual Electric Ducted Fan motors powered by another twelve 5000mAH batteries.

But, the world’s fastest go-kart in all probability is also the most expensive go-kart ever to go on sale. The lightweight and speedy electric go-kart retails for a cool $60,000 USD. If it is a little too expensive for you, there’s a standard model that retails for $10,000 USD but doesn’t come with the 12 EDF motors and can do the zero to 60mph sprint in 3.9 seconds.
