Here is a car fit for a girl. Citroën has partnered with Givenchy to bring a girl’s dream machine – a car equipped with a makeup kit, and LED make-up room mirrors. This is like a Bond’s not-so-mean machine for men. It is epic. The DS3 Givenchy Le Makeup limited edition (of course) is put up for display at DS World Paris currently to see this wonder girl, which features the classic Citroën DS3 shape and colour scheme, with some brushes of feminine grace. Like a rose pink dashboard, Opaline White body and a Whisper Purple finish for the roof, side mirror caps and wheel centre caps. But that is not why a girl would buy this car; she would for the Givenchy Le Makeup Kit in the central armrest – furnished with a set of Givenchy makeup products like a lipstick, mascara, face powder and nail polish.
Imagine! Getting your nails done, and all the finishing touches just after you park, and before strolling into the club, or dinner, or whatever it is you girls do for fun these days. While the idea is novel, and charming, there is that small itch that won’t go away. Girls don’t have such a great reputation as drivers, and a car with a makeup kit? Well. Let us only hope and pray that some 20-year-old doesn’t stop in the middle of a highway to dab a fresh layer of paint on her lips.
The car comes in two models – hatchback and cabrio with prices ranging from $27,995 to $33,491. The car goes to sale in the UK on June 1.
