After ruling the sportscar market for over half a century, Porsche has decided to try its hand at designing uber-luxurious yachts. The German automaker’s design house, Studio F.A. Porsche, has revealed a hybrid superyacht that is slated to make its official debut at the Monaco Yacht Show on September 27. Constructed by Dynamiq, a luxury yacht builder, the Porsche-designed superyacht is called the GTT 115 and is being pitched as a Gran Turismo for the seas.
Launched in Viareggio, Italy, the GTT 115 is defined as “the modern gentlemen’s superyacht” by Sergei Dobroserdov, CEO of Dynamiq. It measures in at 115 feet and wears a beautiful Rhodium Grey metallic paint. The all-aluminum GT 115 features a fuel efficient hybrid powertrain that can propel it to a top speed of 21 knots. The maximum cruising range is 3,400 nautical miles, which is enough to do a trip from New York to Monaco. The interior was designed in collaboration with Minotti and a rendering of the inside shows the yacht’s elegant hardwood floors and chocolate brown furniture. Only 7 units will be made and will come with a listed price of just €13,950,000 ($16,720,000).
