Most expensive rug sold for $9.59 Million


When you have a house with high maintenance flooring, like wood, the best option is to decorate your house with rugs. If you just love collecting rugs any way, like a piece of art, Christie’s London has just been up selling 17th century rugs for quite some time now. Their latest sale is a 17th century Laver Kirman rug, which fetched a staggering $9.59 million, 20 times the estimated price it was to fetch.

Another exhibition of rugs from the 19th century is now open at Claremont. These carpets’ value is touted to be anything between $20,000 and over $500,000 for each rug.
