Hermes has expanded its beauty line with $67 nail polishes

After introducing a gorgeous collection of Birkin-inspired lipsticks as well as a trio of funky lip colors earlier, Hermes is now set to make a foray into the world of nail enamels. It recently launched an exciting ensemble of the same under its beauty line.

Coming in 24 shades, the collection is composed of bold bio-sourced pigments that only need one coat. The hues are accompanied by a base and top coat, in addition to hand care tools such as nail brushes and nail files.

Some of the most mesmerizing shades in the line include “Orange Boîte” — Hermès’s iconic orange hue, the old red “Rouge Casaque” and deep pink “Rose Magenta.” The entire range is worked on by a collective including in-house colorists of leather and silk; Pierre Hardy, who assisted in package design; and longtime Hermès artistic director Pierre-Alexis Dumas.

Commenting on the collection, Agnès de Villers, the chief executive officer of Hermès Beauty and Fragrances, in a statement to ELLE said, “For Hermès, the hands are like the face because everything [in our métiers] is handmade.”

She further added, “At the beginning, we wondered, ‘Should we do a nail file at Hermès? Is it okay?… “But yes—it’s necessary. Let’s go for it.” The 24-shade nail polish line will be available on October 15 at hermes.com. How about a Hermes makeover for the nails?
