Thailand is set to become the first Asian nation to get a Porsche-branded uber-luxurious residential tower. After the grand success of the prestigious Porsche Design real estate projects in Miami, USA, and Stuttgart, Germany, the iconic automaker has announced a collaboration with Ananda Development, a prominent real estate developer in Thailand, to develop the first-of-its-kind residence project in Thailand. The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is located on Sukhumvit 38, one of the most prestigious addresses in the capital city of Thailand.
“I can’t await the opening of the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok, which will be the third Porsche Design real estate project globally and the first in Asia,” said Lutz Meschke, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board at Porsche AG. “This unique, exclusive architectural masterpiece fits perfectly into our approach to broaden the appeal to our most discerning customers by offering them exclusive experiences in all areas of life. The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is the next big thing for Porsche in Southeast Asia.”
Porsche Design and Ananda Development have pooled their expertise to give the future landmark a cutting-edge design along with top-of-the-line amenities and exquisite living spaces tailored explicitly around the passions of its residents. Standing 95 meters tall, the 21-story tower will feature 22 exclusive duplex and quadplex “sky villas” ranging
from 525sq m to 1,135sq m, with an average price of $15m and up to $40m.
According to Porsche Design, the façade of the tower is inspired by the “Kinetic Move” of the Porsche 911 Targa roof mechanism and its hybrid usability, which features a highly sophisticated and fully automated terrace door system. At the touch of a button, the residents can transform the spaces to blend outdoor and indoor living seamlessly. At the base of the building is an architectural highlight, which Porsche calls the “X-Frame.” The exposed pedestal structure is modeled after Porsche’s Mission R concept car and its exoskeleton structure.
The top of the tower is accentuated by “The Crown,” a unique light installation said to be inspired by the instantly recognizable lighting designs of Porsche sportscars. If you look closely, the whole design, with the massive light strip, is styled to look like the rear section of the new Porsche 911.
At the center of the tower is a spiral access ramp for cars called “The Loop.” It leads directly to something called the “Passion Spaces” – one of the most striking features of the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok. Porsche Design describes it as “the ultimate luxury garage for residents’ meticulously curated collection of cars.”
Judging by the official design renderings, the private garage spaces appear to be styled like the Porsche Studios, with lounge areas and spots where cars and motorcycles can be displayed. However, the company says it can be tailored entirely to the individual’s liking. The Passion Spaces can also be used for public gatherings and transformed into sanctuaries for the residents to indulge in various pursuits.
The hyper-luxury apartments will feature exclusive materials and the finest furniture to enhance the exquisite living experience. The technically designed kitchens will be equipped with electrically powered drawers and cabinet doors offering hands-free solutions, along with high-end customized appliances and the finest durable wooden kitchen façades.
Other state-of-the-art facilities include a 25-meter swimming pool, a performance fitness center, a spa, a social lounge, and a business lounge. Construction will start next year, with an expected handover of the apartment complex in 2028.
