Elvis Presley’s hair fetches $15,000 at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers

If you had been wondering what could be the most bizarre thing to have been successfully auctioned off for a great price, it has to be “A Large Quantity of Elvis Presley’s Hair.” The King’s locks were shorn off once when he entered the military in 1958, and they fetched $15,000 at Chicago auction house Leslie Hindman Auctioneers last Sunday. It is rather funny to think that a dead man, even if he were a legend, could command such an amazing price at auctions just for his hair!

Imagine what would have happened if the man’s other body parts were available for auction as well! Nevertheless, Elvis Presley was a man like no other, and he certainly deserves credit for the legacy he left behind, and $15,000 for a handful for his ancient hair shouldn’t be too much. A few months ago, the King’s piano fetched an astounding amount of $1 million!
