You have got be a quirk-head to walk out with tape wrapped all over your body. However, proving that just about everything under the sun can be pulled off is Kim Kardashian (yet again)! The diva recently strutted down the runway while flaunting her curves covered in Balenciaga tape. Yes, that’s right!
She took to Instagram on Sunday (March 7, 2022) to reveal her prep for the Balenciaga Winter ’22 show during Paris Fashion Week where she wore the outfit too. In the footage, one can see four assistants helping her wrap her body from neck to toe in yellow Balenciaga-branded caution tape.
The 41-year-old SKIMS star captioned the clip stating, ‘Getting ready for the @balenciaga show.’ Other similar photos and videos showed her rolled back in a chair with the assistants busily winding bands of tape around her arms and legs.
According to Times fashion director/critic Vanessa Friedman who was present at the event, Kardashian apparently made “a sticky tape-y sound” when she walked. The reality star (as per Friedman) was also heard quoting, “I’m scared it’s (the outfit) going to rip when I sit down. Should I just let it rip?”
Along with the eye-popping outfit, Kardashian donned a pair of futuristic black sunglasses and boots and a purse, which were also covered with the matching Balenciaga tape.
However, it’s not just Kardashian but Balenciaga too that boasts a streak of crazy. At the start of the year, the marquee sent out smashed iPhones to guests to invite them for the Paris Fashion Week. Well, talk about making fashion for the headlines!
