Gone are those days when Mark Zuckerberg was only seen in grey t-shirts and hoodies. The centibillionaire seems to have traded his old self for sleek suits and a spotlight-ready persona—shedding his classic nerd image in the process. An important part of this image makeover is his newfound love for highly collectible mechanical watches.

Before catching the watch bug, Mark Zuckerberg wore a simple fitness band on his wrist.

Keeping up with his latest tradition of wearing a new luxury timepiece for each online appearance, the Meta CEO was spotted wearing an incredibly rare Swiss masterpiece in a video where he announced his company’s decision to end third-party fact-checking on its social media platforms in the US.

The watch in question is a Greubel Forsey ‘Hand Made 1’, which is more exclusive than some of the rarest watches in the world. According to the Swiss watchmaker’s official website, just two or three ‘Hand Made’ models are made yearly, each retailing for $895,500 before taxes. This makes the Hand Made 1 one of the most expensive watches in Zuckerberg’s collection.
