Barbie has introduced a limited-edition David Bowie doll


David Bowie‘s Hunky Dory album recently completed 50 years, and celebrating it with style is BarbieBarbie with a limited-edition doll. The figurine is just as classy as the 1971 masterpiece and a great introduction for barbie and Bowie fans.


It is the second Bowie doll in the Barbie Signature Collection following the release of the Ziggy Stardust model three years ago. The novel doll features a powder-blue suit, which Bowie wore in his music video for “Life on Mars?”

According to Mattel Creations, the Barbie’sBarbie’s suit has been designed by renowned artist Linda Kyaw-Merschon. And complementing it are a foil-printed pin-stripe shirt, statement tie, platform shoes, and a red mullet.


As far as makeup is concerned, the BarbieBarbie dons stark blue eyeshadow and pink lips, which are matched perfectly by a hairstyle inspired by the late artist’s ’70s glam era. For those interested, the David Bowie Barbie Doll is available for purchase on the official Mattel website, Amazon, Walmart, and Target for $50.
