If you love Birkenstocks but find them too plane-jane, you may be in for a surprise! In ramping up its style quotient, the German footwear brand has teamed up with designer marquee Manolo Blahnik for an all-new blingy collection. Yes, that’s right!
The ensemble features the staple Birkenstock sandals with glamorous detailing, featuring Manolo Blahnik’s trademark emphasis on eye-catching details. The pairs come embellished with crystals and packaged in an exclusive polka dot shoebox and dust bag that takes after Manolo Blahnik’s design details.
Commenting on the collaboration, Manolo Blahnik, in a statement, said, “Birkenstocks have been in my wardrobe since the very beginning (of time!!) – I have loved and worn mine for many years. I am thrilled that we have been able to collaborate; fusing the Manolo Blahnik aesthetic with the everyday comfort of Birkenstocks is simply wonderful!”

Footwear enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on Arizona crystal velvet sandals in fuchsia and blue with a velvet upper, microfiber-lined French piping and crystal buckle; Boston crystal velvet sandals in fuchsia and blue with a crystal buckle, and French piping in color-matching leather; Arizona crystal smooth leather sandals in black with a crystal buckle; and Boston crystal smooth leather sandals in black with a crystal buckle as well.
The BirksenstockX Manolo Blahnik collection (priced between $750 – $810 per pair) will be unveiled on March 24, 2022 at 1774.com and Manoloblahnik.com and later in Manolo Blahnik stores, as well as in select retailers worldwide.
