Jason Wu designs new collection of scarves exclusively for the St. Regis Istanbul

In an unconventionally stylish move, the St. Regis group of Hotels and Resorts are celebrating the launch of a new Hotel in Istanbul, with the unveiling of a beautiful scarf designed for them by Jason Wu. The Grad Tourista Scarf is inspired by the city of Istanbul and reflects the city’s energy while mirroring the design sensibilities of St. Regis and Wu.

The scarf is 100% silk twill and comes in three color palettes: blue which hearkens to the city’s famous ceramic tiles, a neutral beige that brings to mind the fragrant spices that fill the markets of the city and grey which is a signature shade for Jason Wu. The Istanbul St. Regis hotel will not open its doors until next year but the scarves priced at $195 are already available at the Jason Wu and St. Regis e-stores. Considering that Wu has dresses everyone from Hollywood’s leading ladies to First Lady Michelle Obama, we imagine $200 is a small price to pay for his design genius.

The news of a design collaboration is unsurprising considering the designer does share a history with St. Regis with the Wu attending many of the hotel group’s milestone events. In fact, the Grad Tourista scarf marks a second collaboration between the brands. Wu’s Grand Tourista Bag was actually the first travel accessory he designed for the St. Regis group.
