Everyone has a favorite Louis Vuitton bag. For some it’s the classic Speedy to more contemporary styles like the Twist or Volta, the brand offers a purse or carryall for every kind of fashion lover. And all of those fashion lovers will agree that there’s nothing quite like the leathery scent of a brand new bag.
Louis Vuitton plans to make that distinctive fragrance a wearable smell. Their new perfume will feature notes of refined natural leather extracted from the beige leather that is seen on the handles and straps of their handbags. They will be joined by floral notes including May rose, Chinese osmanthus, magnolia, and Arabian jasmine Sambac.
The house’s scents will be available exclusively at Louis Vuitton boutiques from September onwards. This venture into the fragrance sector marks a huge step for Louis Vuitton and may hint at the brand’s interest in the beauty sector. Could we see skincare and color cosmetics from LV next?
