Clothes and cars are like the yin and yang of fashion. So it’s not rare that fashion brands have taken fancy to luxury cars for a chic makeover. And drawing inspiration from such unions is New York-based artist Luis Gispert, who after two years of photographing the plush interiors of luxury cars, right from the Burberry to Louis Vuitton styled ones. And showing off his hard work, he would be putting on a display “life-size photographs of luxury rides decked out in designer patterns, and their often dressed-to-match owners” at his show at the Mary Boone Gallery.
His first project involved a Cadillac Escalade that featured Louis Vuitton seat and dashboard trims by Takashi Murakami, followed by a Burberry-embellished BMW and a Coach collectible. An intresting collection for sure, by the likes of it!
