Oh-so-dainty: Chanel has brought us the world’s cutest mini bags

Behind every fashionable woman is a fabulous bag and that stands especially true for what we are witnessing at Chanel’s spring/summer 2021 showcase, which kicked off the final day of shows at Paris Fashion Week. Virginie Viard creates a big buzz with downsized 2.55 purses, belt charms, and cross-body micro bags. These could easily qualify as the cutest bags the world has ever seen. Only a matter of time now that you will find these cuter than buttons mini bags slung around the necks or shoulders of influencers and the tiniest Chanel bag ever is seen hanging just above the waist in a pretty chain belt. Viard hoped to portray the liveliness of cinema, and in some way, even the impracticality of whimsy shines bright in the collection. This SS21 ready-to-wear collection certainly managed to turn heads even though the show’s highlights were rather diminutive. Chanel has embraced youthfulness this time not just with shrunken bags embellished with chains and pearl adornments, but tops were cropped too; the sweatshirts were emblazoned with logo prints, and the iconic tweed suit was transformed into shorts or mini dresses.

As far as accessories are concerned, Virginie Viard did go all out first, stealing the show with the plethora of adorable mini bags followed by CC hair bands, phone lanyards, and glittering crystal belts.
