MINI ‘Inspired by Goodwood’ is touted to be the most expensive one


A special edition BMW MINI will be showcased at the Auto Shanghai 2011 – the car is expected to be the most expensive Mini to debut in China. Termed as ‘Inspired by Goodwin,’ the car will be “built under the guidance of the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars designer team.” Many of the components, such as Burr Walnut dashboard and door handle surfaces, will be crafted by staff at the Goodwood Rolls-Royce factory in Oxford, UK. The car is reported to be priced at a probable price of $81,350 in the UK. The car will feature exclusive, and new designs such as the surrounds of the central instrument and the air vents on the dashboard, the center console, carpet surfaces, the Lounge leather seats, roof lining and door, side and body pillar cladding – all finished in the Rolls-Royce exclusive ‘Cornsilk’ color.

Other features include Burr Walnut dash complemented by a black, Nappa leather dashboard top, cashmere roof-lining, and deep-pile lambswool carpet over-mats. It will only come in Diamond Black Metallic and will boast an engine of l.6-litre and 184bhp turbocharged four-cylinder. It will also have special 17-inch alloy wheels and standard features such as Xenon Adaptive Headlights, Park Distance Control, automatic air conditioning, an onboard computer, and the audio system Radio MINI Visual Boost, including a Harman Kardon hi-fi speaker system.
