Roger Federer has launched an exclusive tennis-inspired sneaker in association with the Swiss running brand ‘On’

Roger Federer has been missing in action – or so you think! While the tennis icon has been off the field following his injury, he’s raging behind the scenes with his collaboration with Swiss performance running brand – On. Together the two have released an all-new tennis-inspired shoe – The Roger and we simply cannot get over its awesomeness!

Crafted with high-quality vegan leather (which is approximately 30% of the footprint of animal leather), the shoe is inspired by the standard tennis sneaker of the ‘70s. It features an encased CloudTec® sole unit, On’s Speedboard®, and a signature sock-like entry and is touted to be one of the most comfortable and light-weight tennis-inspired sneakers.

Commenting on it, Federer in a statement said, “For me, to launch a shoe that crosses over into street culture, I think that’s always been more important. And I think that’s the same with tennis clothing. Tennis has a great history in fashion.”

The first version of The Roger – ‘Centre Court O-Series’, is limited to 1,000 units and features an all-white color scheme with black stitches and On’s trademarked black Speedboard. It will be made available through a draw on On’s official website July 6, and in-store exclusively at Dover Street Market locations around the globe for $249.99. Care to sway it in true Federer style?
