Starting next year, Channel will introduce private boutiques for its top clients

Are you a Channel loyal? Well, if you truly are (as per the brand), you now have an opportunity to shop at one of its soon-to-open private boutiques. Yes, you heard that right! After its incredible sales in 2021, the marquee is now set to open exclusive stores for its top clientele.

As per CEO Philippe Bondiaux, the stores will be opened in early 2023 in key Asian cities, places from where the brand (probably) mints the most money. The move has been fueled by the French label’s sales from last year, which amounted to approximately $15 billion – a whopping 50% jump in revenue.

The profits mainly came from ready-to-wear, jewelry, and watches, with higher sales being record post-pandemic. The new stores will mainly cater to the aspirations of the brand’s top clients, who are willing to splurge and are on the lookout for a premium experience in person.

Commenting on it, Blondiaux, in a statement to Business of Fashion, said, “Chanel’s biggest preoccupation is to protect our customers and in particular our pre-existing customers. We’re going to invest in very protected boutiques to service clients in a very exclusive way.”

He further added, “2022 will be another year of significant investment to support the long-term health of the Chanel brand and to deliver our sustainability ambition, whether in our people, continued focus on quality, customer experience, our boutiques, or in our supply chain transformation.”

Well, are you lucky enough to shop at Channel’s private stores?
