It wasn’t too long ago that we got our first glimpse of the Louis Vuitton x Supreme collection and one of the pieces that stood out the most was that show stopping red and white trunk. Covered with Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram but updated with a fresh burst of color and featuring the bold Supreme logo, this trunk is a scene stealer. Well, you’ll be less-than-thrilled to know that this graphic piece of luggage is priced at a cool US$68,500. Let that sink in for a moment.
The price was reported by Highsnobiety and they went on to state that this price is more than double of what LV usually charges for their trunks. Another item in the collection featuring the same exterior design is the skateboard carrier which includes a monogrammed skateboard and accessories, that kit is also steeply priced at $54,500. It’s difficult to fathom dropping that much green on a board that probably going to get roughed up within the first few uses. That is of course, assuming you decide to use it rather than hoarding it as a collector’s item.
We jest about hoarding now, but don’t be surprised when these items turn up for auction years later and sell for four times the price!
