With a classic shape, a smooth calf leather exterior and old school colors, Louis Vuitton’s Cartable is a subtle and versatile satchel for men. The bag’s design is a modern take on the well-loved satchel shape and it is a new addition to LV’s Ombré collection which also features favorites like the Keepall, Lockit Bandoulière and Porte-Documents Voyage.
The collection is set apart thanks to the use of Louis Vuitton Cuir Ombré, a natural leather that’s incredibly soft to the touch. The Cartable comes with an adjustable shoulder strap, and sports details like a microfiber lining, a calf leather and Monogram canvas trim, silver tone hardware, a zipped pocket on the back, a monogram canvas and leather key bell, a flat compartment on the front, a large zipped pocket and an iPad pocket.
The bag is available in two shades: Acajou (a traditional cognac brown) and Charcoal (a cool, dark grey). It’s seems to be intended for work but is casual enough to work for casual occasions and day trips too. You might want to hide it away from your girlfriend, though because we predict that she might want to “borrow” (and by that we mean steal) it now and then.
