Here’s a look at the new $1230 Saint Laurent x Polaroid limited edition SX-70 camera


If you’re looking for luxury while snapping up the best of views, here’s something that’s perfect for you! We’re talking about the all-new limited edition SX-70 camera that was recently introduced by Saint Laurent in collaboration with Polaroid. Featuring a mix of luxe finishes ranging from leather, stars, and checkerboard, the novel camera is a great addition to a collector’s treasure as it is for photographers. It boasts a focused lens and specifications that are the best inline.


With a make that is 80% steel it is available in an array of colors and fabrications to choose from, including leather, leopard spots, repeating stars, or a Vans-like checkered pattern.

Made in the Netherlands, the camera is compatible with SX70 films. It is priced at a steep $1,230, which is $800 more than the plain old Polaroid SX-70s. Beyond the cameras, the marquees have also teamed up on a co-branded black and white film.


For those unversed, this isn’t Polaroid’s first collaboration with a luxury brand. It has previously teamed up with the likes of Fendi, Lacoste, and Teva for many compelling editions. While a Saint Laurent camera may not be a photographer’s first choice, this one’s quite a steal. Your thoughts?
