Last year, there were reports that renowned camera manufacturer Leica is teaming up with American rock musician Lenny Kravitz to introduce a limited edition camera. The rumors have turned out to be true, as the German brand has finally launched the limited edition M-P Type 240 camera kit in collaboration with Lenny Kravitz. The premium camera kit includes a set of two lenses – a 35 f/2 ASPH and a 50 f/1.4 ASPH – while the camera features a minimalist all-black design, sapphire LCD cover, 24 megapixel full-frame sensor and 2GB frame buffer memory.
The all-black case of the camera has been given a beautiful vintage and used look, looking a little worn out with metallic hints peeking through the black. It is based on the latest version of the Leica flagship rangefinder camera. With only 120 pieces on sale, the limited edition kit will soon be made available on Leica’s official website. There will also be a special Lenny Kravitz event in NYC in March, alongside an exhibition of work as well as the “Flash” book.
