Although post the epic Apple vs. Samsung courtroom drama may sound the death knell on eight Samsung handset in the US, including the Galaxy S II, Samsung is going down without a fight, it seems. Riding on its S III handset’s success, the Korean company has decided to give its last year’s flagship a shimmering facelift, with a limited Crystal Edition.
The phone will feature a white leather back cover encrusted with 129 Swarovski crystals. The smartphone sports a 4.3-inch 480×800 Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 8 MP rear camera, and 1,650 mAh battery.
Available in October, the phone, which will be unveiled at IFA, bears a €599 ($750) price tag.
