Samsung Galaxy S II Crystal Edition to debut at IFA 2012

Although post the epic Apple vs. Samsung courtroom drama may sound the death knell on eight of Samsung handset in the US, including the Galaxy S II, Samsung is going down without a fight it seems. Riding on the success of its S III handset, the Korean company has decided to give its last year’s flagship a shimmering facelift, with a limited Crystal Edition.

The phone will feature a white leather back cover encrusted with 129 Swarovski crystals. The smartphone sports a 4.3-inch 480×800 Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 8 MP rear camera, and 1,650 mAh battery.
Available in October, the phone which will be unveiled at IFA bears a €599 ($750) price tag.
