Dubai’s ultra luxurious Burj Al Arab hotel is serving up a coffee with real gold in it

While Starbucks is upping their artisan coffee game in Milan, Dubai’s luxury mecca the Burj Al Arab are one step further with their gold infused coffee. That’s right, the Sahn Eddar lounge located within the world famous boat-sail shaped hotel is serving up this extravagant concoction called the Ultimate Gold Cappuccino which is sprinkled with 24-carat gold flakes.

This opulent cappuccino is made from 100% Arabica beans and foamed milk which is blended with gold. A sail shaped design completes the drink which is topped with even more gold flakes.

The coffee is served with a Grand Cru Guanaja, a chocolate marshmallow with its own sprinkling of gold.

We’re not sure exactly how much gold goes into each cappuccino, but with each coffee priced at Dhs85 or roughly US$23, it’s not a bank busting purchase.

So the next time you’re at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, order up the Ultimate Gold Cappuccino. We bet it counts as one of life’s little luxuries!
