Johnnie Walker and Diageo Global Travel are bringing in the Chinese New Year with quite some style and aplomb. To celebrate this iconic occasion that way it should be, the Maison recently unveiled exclusive limited-edition bottles from the annual Johnnie Walker Blue Label series. And it’s not just its inner contents but also the bottle’s crafty design that is taking whiskey aficionados by a storm already!
Themed around the “precious bond between man and dog”, the limited edition JW bottles come adorned with exclusive drawings by Taiwanese artist Page Tsou. The design shows a striding man being followed by his loving dog around the world with lanterns, fireworks and dancing dragons for an added celebratory charm. In further explaining his ‘Year of the Dog’ theme, Tsou mentioned, “It is an honor to have been commissioned to create the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Year of the Dog bottle. The precious design consists of a total of four dogs all chosen for their special meaning in Asia.
The unique design also symbols wealth and prosperity through its many hidden intricacies. As for its contents, the limited edition JW bottles comes with delicate Scotch crafted by a team of 12 whisky makers, led by Jim Beveridge. The rare single-malt is a perfect way to begin the new year celebrations and for £175 ($ 237) per one-liter bottle, we believe it to be quite a steal!
