Music royalty Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler, have introduced an Italian-produced amaro named Amante 1530, infusing a fruity twist into Aperitivo Hour.

Sting, the iconic musician, possesses impeccable taste. Alongside his wife, Trudie Styler, the musical genius behind The Police is introducing the world to their latest creation, Amante 1530. This Grammy winner and his wife are also the proud owners of the centuries-old Tuscany wine estate, Il Palagio, which they are passionately revitalizing, producing top-notch wines.

Inspired by Sting’s legendary songs like “Message in a Bottle” and “Roxanne,” the products from Il Palagio bear names that are as enchanting as their musical counterparts. The concept for their latest venture, Amante 1530, originated two years ago when Sting and Trudie Styler joined forces with a group of friends who shared their passion for the “Italian-style” drinking culture. Their collective enthusiasm and creativity gave birth to a new amaro with a contemporary twist.

Amante 1530 is meticulously crafted and bottled at the Pallini Distillery, one of Rome’s oldest and most prestigious distilleries. This new aperitivo is making its debut simultaneously on both sides of the Atlantic, with an international launch spanning New York, Rome, Venice, and Los Angeles.

“The initial concept stemmed from our deep belief that everyone deserves a Great Love, along with an exceptional Cocktail,” declared Rosenstein, the CEO of Amante 1530. “We aimed to create a bitter that captures the genuine Italian essence, versatile and boundary-breaking. To achieve this, we painstakingly developed a complex and aromatic product that achieves a perfect balance and can be enjoyed as a spritz, in cocktails, neat, or on the rocks. The name encapsulates the very essence we aim to distill: an Amaro meant to be celebrated and savored among friends and life’s enthusiasts.”

Kirshenbaum, CEO of NSG/SWAT, one of the most esteemed boutique branding agencies in the US, remarked, “Over the last 50 years, we have witnessed substantial growth in the Amaro category, albeit with little to no innovation. This represented a unique opportunity to introduce an innovative breakthrough in such a traditionally ‘old style’ market niche. After years of experimentation and searching for the perfect recipe, we have finally crafted a liquid that stands apart from every other bitter on the market and cannot be replicated.”

So, what can consumers expect from Amante 1530? This aperitif offers a refined and delicate flavor profile, enriched with hints of orange, oolong tea, ginger, honeysuckle, and cooked apples. It seamlessly balances a subtle sweetness with a vegetal bitterness. According to Vinepair, Amante 1530 is now available at select retailers, bars, and restaurants in New York for $34.99. It will grace the shelves of major Italian cities by the end of October, and the rest of Europe will have access to it by spring 2024.
