In case you missed it: what went down at Converse’s One Star Hotel

Last weekend Converse shook up London with their One Star Hotel pop-up. The sneaker company took over a five floor building for the pop-up, but their hotel is far from wat you’re used to. Instead of tranquility and calm, this event served up a slice of street and skate culture with music, fashion and plenty of activities.

IAMDDB, Slow Thai, and Siobhan Bell were among the musical guests providing the kind of eclectic music that this event demanded. Meanwhile, the workshops ranged from T-shirt design with Paria Farzaneh to Mahjong games with Tizzy T.

The event would be nothing without some sneakers! Six rooms were designed with different themes that reflected Converse’s One Star collection. With names like “Step into sweetness”, “Grape” and “Somewhere in the mid-century”, each room was curated by artists and influencers and was inspired by Converse’s premium suede shoes. Limited edition merchandise was also available at the event including sneakers that has been customized by Tizzy T and Tyler the creator.
