If you want to lead a life of luxury and comfort, then move to the UAE. It will never cease to amuse. Or, just try and make a trip at the end of each month of the year. The reason is – out of this world. Well, almost. The St. Regis Abu Dhabi is offering a ride to paradise with its Abu Dhabi Suite, the World’s Highest Suspended Suite.
It is so exclusive that just writing about it gives me a sense of luxury. For a whopping AED 150,000 a night, you will get to enjoy an exclusive Brunch in the Clouds, a journey ‘that explores the bedrooms, cinema, spa and two-floor majlis’ – that is floor 48 and 49. Told you; out of this world.
Now, this is not for any Tom, Rachel or Martin on the street, but only for 50 diners on the last Friday of each month. It begins at the hotel’s grand Reception Hall where guests will be received by a butler who will escort them to the Abu Dhabi Suite’s private elevator.
Once at the Suite, guests can explore the 1,120 square metre space. Dinner doesn’t get served here though. That is because there will be something to munch on in most of the rooms you enter, like a cinema full of candy, a dedicated cheese and dessert room, a caviar ice-bar, an oyster room, roaming chef stations and a private bar equipped with the hotel’s top mixologists. How fancy is that!
If you are tired with all the walking, and caviar testing, then you can take a spa break. No need to delve down 48 floors, you can get shoulder massages by therapists from the hotel’s Remède Spa or from the Sisters Beauty Lounge – right at the 48th floor. After all this, you wake up for Brunch in the Clouds. Only for adults over 21 years (random specifics), though.
So folks – prepare. Get your tickets, get a new wardrobe, buy a new plane. Fridays are going to be yay-day now on. Until you can no longer look at caviar or gulp another sip of bubbly.
