According to experts this is the best luxury hotel for 2017

Virtuoso, a network of luxury travel advisors and enthusiasts have named their pick for Hotel of the year 2017. The distinction was given to the Palazzo Seneca located in Norcia, Umbria (Italy) – a boutique hotel discreetly tucked away in truffle country.

While the hotel’s history can be traced back to the 16th century, its old stone façade hides conceals a contemporary and stylish interior that welcomes guests. Once a palace, the building was restored after being acquired by the Bianconi family in 2002. The hotel’s 24 rooms are outfitted with elegant furniture including four poster beds, leather chairs, and carved wardrobes.
The winner was announced at Virtuoso’s 11th annual Best of the Best awards held in Las Vegas where the votes of 800 travel agency partners and 16,000 travel advisers decided the winners. The contenders were selected from the agencies’ and advisers’ portfolio of 1,200 hotels, resorts, villas and private island retreats in 100 countries.
