Bangkok will now get a feel of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, in their own soil. With a slight edit, however, as it will be the Tiffany Afternoon Tea, rather than breakfast. The Peninsula Bangkok brings this pleasure to its esteemed guests, and the city’s luxe-patrons. Throughout this month, Tiffany & Co’s ‘iconic blue’ will be served daily at The Lobby from 2pm to 6pm. It will consist of a New York-style cheesecake in the shape of the jeweler’s gift boxes, blueberry cupcakes, a pastrami sandwich on a bagel and a coconut buttercream macaron made in blue with silver sugar to resemble a wedding ring. It looks so pretty, I doubt if I would eat them. Rather, just Instagram them in multiple angles maybe. This menu was created by the hotel’s executive pastry chef Nicolas Pelloie and his team. Hotels seem to be on a roll with Afternoon Teas, have you noticed?
The Tiffany Afternoon Tea costs $25. The tea also offers champagne. How you handle that, is up to your own discretion. But if you do, then it will cost $40.
