The Ritz Carlton Hong Kong is serving up jewelry inspired delights at their Bulgari Divas’ Dream Afternoon Tea

Fashion and lifestyle brands are making their presence felt in the food and beverage sector these days, especially through cool partnerships with our favorite hotels! After Teatime at Tiffany’s at the Peninsula Bangkok, the Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong is now taking guests on a culinary tour of Rome with their afternoon tea created in association with Bulgari. The hotel has held a pretty creative Ferrari themed high tea in the past, so we’re expecting this time to be bigger and better.

The tea will be hosted by the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong’s Michelin starred Italian restaurant: Tosca. The tea pays tribute to the eternal city of Rome while drawing inspiration from Bulgari’s 2016 Divas’ Dream jewelry collection. The collection features precious materials and stones like mother-of-pearl, emeralds, pink sapphires, and malachite, which are recreated for the tea in beautiful and delicious edible form.

Spanish pastry chef Rafael Charquero has crafted an exquisite menu that promises to be a feast for all the senses. Look out for items like Madre Perla, a scallop Carpaccio in a vanilla apple broth that references the subtle sheen of mother of pearl; or the Green Cake which uses pistachio and raspberry to allude to green emeralds and deep red rubies. Perhaps the dish we’re most looking forward to is the sweet Zaffiro, the sweet preparation featuring unlikely ingredients like cabbage and beetroot as well as Tonka beans, spices, and almonds. Inspired by malachites and pink sapphire this promises to be an intriguing dish.
