Cardi B stole the show at Grammys with a $5 million diamond studded necklace that had to be sewn on her

Trust Cardi B to stun the world and even more so on the red carpet. Though the ‘Bodak Yellow’ singer snuck stealthily into the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards her $5 million necklace shone as it should. Of all, her red carpet looks like it has got to be the most breathtaking of all with her two-part Gismondi 1754 necklace featuring over 310 carats of white diamonds aptly named the ‘Goddess’ necklace. It’s not just her sparkling jewels that were the cynosure of attention; what sparkled in equal measure was her sheer custom Mugler gown by creative director Casey Cadwallader, which emphasized a mermaid silhouette and cape dribbling in strands of diamonds from top to bottom. Cardi B’s stylist Kollin Carter wanted a high jewelry classic neckpiece teamed with another “modern” piece to complement it. Massimo Gismondi’s team created a series of single-strand necklaces and chokers to combine with the mesmerizing Goddess necklace.

The stylist along with Mugler selected eight strands of diamonds to assure the right vision was emerging. The artist never got to try the necklace on, which ultimately had placed, adjusted, nested, and actually sewn onto the artist for the final look as the last step before leaving for the venue. Drool-worthy diamonds we just can’t get enough of, can you?
