BMW Group DesignworksUsa and K2 unveil Powder Ride Skis


It’s time to hit the snow-clad slopes as winter is on its brink. To make your winter sports season more lavish, BMW Group DesignworksUsa and K2 has unveiled a Limited Edition Ski for the BMW X1 Edition Powder Ride. The earlier version of the BMW M and K2 design, roared last season on the slopes. However, this year, BMW Group Designworks USA has combined the characteristics of the automobile and the world of winter sports. The sporty sliders boast spectacular colors, material, shapes, and graphics featured on the ski surface, which reminiscent of the striking red color of the world premium BMW Concept K2 Powder Ride.


With an added running surface of the ski bears, that gives an illustration of a tyre track. The central theme concentrates on the parallels between the world of the BMW X1 and that of K2.

The design is an amalgamation of the compact Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and, combined with distinctive x-shaped lines and the two brand logos, underscores the commonalities of the two companies.

BMW and K2 Limited Edition Powder skis are only available in combination with the BMW X1 Edition Powder Ride.

This edition model is available in the versions BMW X1 xDrive20i, BMW X1 xDrive28i, BMW X1 xDrive18d, BMW X1 xDrive20d and BMW X1 xDrive25d with an additional price of 3,450 Euros ($4617 approx.).
