Valentines day is around the corner and chocolate shops are abuzz with customers lining up to gift their loved ones some sweet treats. Such is the case in Japan also but with one small difference. In the land of the rising sun it is the women who gift chocolates to the man in their life. Keeping this practice in mind a hotel in Osaka is selling “Shinshi no Kagayaki” a pair of shoes which are made entirely from chocolate. Masterfully created even a trained eye can mistake them for leather shoes. The laces, sole, seams and even the polished toes are made of chocolate.
On display at the Rihga Royal Hotel in Osaka only nine pairs of the chocolate shoe have been made. At 29,160 Yen a pair ($ 260) all of the pairs have already been sold out.
