Created by music licensing platform Lickd. co, the ‘social salary calculator,‘ as it is called, works out levels of social media engagement to match your ideal salary. As per the website, “Influencers are a rapidly growing breed, and the top ones are making some serious money. So it’s no wonder that more and more people are looking to give up the day job, with around 22,000 people each month searching for ‘how to become an influencer on Google’.”

If you’re one of them, this tool could be perfect for you to start with. As per its calculations, a person willing to earn $250,000 through social media will need 767 sponsored Instagram posts, 59.7 million views on YouTube, and 675 million views on TikTok. This means that to get an average paycheck worth $34,103, one would need a massive 92 million TikTok views.

Using Influencer Marketing Hub’s YouTube Money Calculator, the website forecasts that one can expect to make $4.18 for every 1,000 views on the streaming portal. It similarly states that Instagram pays $250 to $350 per post for a minimum of 5,000 followers, which can go up further with the follower count.
