WHAT: No other brand does whimsical creations quite like Jaquet Droz does – and this timepiece is the latest proof. The parrot repeater pocket watch showcases some of the 280-year-old maison’s time-honoured watchmaking savoir faire, from enamelling to automata.
The timepiece features a gem-studded cover, which opens to reveal a family of parrots that move on command when the minute repeater mechanism is activated. Flip the watch around to see a second cover – an enamelled portrait of a parrot.

WHAT: The Precious high jewellery collection strikes a perfect balance between glamour and elegance. The collection, designed by Caroline Scheufele, was inspired by delicate lace, with open-worked design highlighted in each piece.
These white-gold earrings, set with pear-shaped emeralds (total of 20.3ct) and brilliant-cut diamonds, show off the maison’s gem-setting know-how. The earrings also boast curves that mimic the flowing lines of grand chandeliers.

WHAT: Founded by Jean-Pierre Morreale, a French-Belgian descendant of European nobility, luxury perfume label Morreale Paris has launched the most expensive fragrance in the world. Priced at US$1.5 million, the bejewelled bottle is inspired by and designed for the world’s royal families.
Handcrafted from diamonds and gold, the container is an extravagant merchandise itself. Featuring a design resembling the armour of a knight, it is crafted from polished 18ct gold and embellished with over 11,000 precious stones including diamonds from Russia and Botswana, and rubies from Cambodia and Thailand, with a total worth of 175,000ct to 250,000ct.
The cap consists of two layers of pure 24ct gold. Each bottle is also equipped with a hidden 18ct gold cuff surrounding the cap. It is encrusted with 750 diamonds that weigh in at 7.5ct.
For the perfume itself, each customer can customise their own scent by picking from the brand’s ingredients sourced from around the world.
WHY: Just because it is designed for the royals.
