$4.2 million diamond studded tiara for a pet dog

Even in the current crunched economic conditions, pet lovers leave no stone unturned to shower their beloved pets with luxury that most of us cannot even dream of. If the most expensive Hello Kitty Doghouse ($32,000) was not glamorous enough for your mutt then take a look at the $4.2 million tiara. Exclusively designed for a 15-year-old male Maltese, Thai jewelry designer Riwin Jirapolsek made use of all the precious stones inherited from his mother. Crafted out of titanium, the tiara is caked with 250-carats of emeralds and diamonds. Exhibited at a dog show in Bangkok recently, this pet jewelry piece is not up for sale. In fact, the designer now intends to create a jeweled hair clip for his beloved canine. He quoted, “I will make a hair clip next time because my dog has to wear clips every day; otherwise, its fur will block its view. It may be decorated with jewels.” Whoever said that ‘Every dog has his day’ stands true for Riwin Jirapolsek’s Maltese after 15 years.
